K. Schippers

(Netherlands, 1936)

K. Schippers (Netherlands, 1936) made his debut with the collection De waarheid als de koe. He was the co-founder of the influential magazine Barbarber (1958–1971), in which art and poetry enriched each other. Schippers is also a fan of film, as is clear from his novel Waar was je nou, for which he won the Libris prize. In 1996, Schippers also won the P.C. Hooft award, after which a complete version of his collection Een leeuwerik boven een weiland was published. His most recent collection is Tellen en wegen.
