Lemn Sissay
(United Kingdom, 1967) Lemn Sissay is a poet and a performer. He has published several volumes of poetry, including Rebel Without Applause and Morning Breaks in the Elevator. In his poetry presentations he switches from the funny to the deadly serious, in a dazzling display of vocal and dynamic skills.
His vocal speed has earned him the title of ‘200 words-a-minute-man’.
[Lemn Sissay took part in the Poetry International Festival Rotterdam 2002. This short text was written on that occasion.]
