De verzameling ‘rozen’ is een andere
dan die van wat geen roos genoemd wordt

zoals ik en all roses. In niet-logische termen
hiervandaan geredeneerd

moet die bloem zich vermommen
om bij mij te mogen – kan ik alleen

bijvoorbeeld in het Engels van haar houden
wat allang gedaan is a rose is a rose is

dus geen leer der verzamelingen hier
maar wel dit: er is ruimte genoeg voor een dood-

simpel roosje en ik.

‘Roses’ as a set is different
than that of what are not called roses

just like ‘I’ and ‘all roses’. Moving beyond
the bounds of logic, this implies

that the flower must come in disguise if it is
to be with me – for instance I can only

love it in a poem, which a rose is a rose is
something that has long been done

so no set theory here, but one thing is dead
certain: there is room for a simple little

rose and me.
