LES OBSCENITES
Obscène le poème non dit, non fait
– le seul à dire, le seul à ne pas faire –
et qui se tait, se terre au fond du corps
comme un foetus mort et déjà pourrissant.
(Et dehors obscène la chatte qui rapporte

le chant d’un oiseau tué entre ses dents.)
OBSCENITIES
Obscene the poem says not, does not
– the only thing to say, the only thing not to do –
and which is silent, hides in the depths of the body
like a foetus dead and already decaying.
(And beyond obscene is the cat who reports

the song of a bird killed in her teeth.)
