Hemant Divate is a poet, publisher and vice president of a marketing firm. He has been publishing a critically acclaimed poetry quarterly, Abhidhanantar, for the past twelve years. His collection of Marathi poetry was translated into English by noted poet and translator Dilip Chitre English in a volume entitled Virus Alert (a poem from which has been included in this edition). He has won several prestigious awards, including the Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad Award, Kolkata.
