roodborstje

Een roodborstje dat tegen het raam tikt.
Niet tegen het raam, maar tegen het ei waarin het zit en het ei breekt in
tweeën.
Niet het ei, maar het ijs dat scheurt van Groenland naar beneden.

Een zwarte zee, waarin witte vlakten drijven.
Geen vlakten, maar bergen.
Geen ijs, maar graniet.
Nodig voor het roodborstje om zijn snaveltje te scherpen.

Zijn snaveltje sterker dan het ei.

Sterker dan Groenland.

A robin that taps against the window.
Not against the window but against the egg in which it sits
and breaks the egg in two.
Not the egg but the ice that breaks off downwards from Greenland.

A black sea in which white expanses drift.
Not expanses but mountains.
Not ice but granite.
Which the robin needs to sharpen its beak on.

Its beak stronger than the egg.

Stronger than Greenland.
