DE KOMST

Als het doorgaat moet ik het verleden
 beleven
 want het verleden kent geen vrees.

Ik hoop dat het doorgaat,
want de verblijfplaats is onvindbaar, 
de landingsplaats argwanend,
 de gewassen op hun hoede.

Als het doorgaat komt het.

SOMETHING’S COMING

If it happens, I’ll have to live through
the past,
since the past knows no fear.

I hope it happens,
since the site is unlocatable,
the landing spot suspicious,
the crops leery.

If it happens, it will come.
