Kiki
Who, why, when, no one knows.
On the seashore waist deep in sand
The girl Kiki of Jade House was found
In the far north near the water line –
Long hair and lapping waves
Have covered her body partly,
Salty caress of the sea has washed away the streaming blood.

Black bruise like fish bile on throat,
A bit of tongue sticks out as if
A cuckoo's deformed voice
On her thighs not men's caresses
Faint sores from cigarette burns
But her lidless, shark-nibbled eye holes
Still dream.

Feet on sand bed
The sea pillows her head
Rippling brains sing along with the waves
Everything's almost all right.

Only in secret tonight
Not roasted chicken
Kiki's little finger
On her stepfather's dinner table
          Was served in silverware.
