February 14

Goodbye fire, goodbye coffee
transform me into you and you will disappear into air

flip the construction site over make the rain fall on the grass
in Tokyo cats sleep feeling cold
and you observe me disappearing into the train

If a prairie can be immortal

in a box the gray of a pipa
boiling like the sea a camera

if I am a telephone I cry
fall silent sit on a mountain looking at myself

burnt like ashes
like a shivering star

The Chinese drink wine leave home
use a compass to point to themselves

morning their bodies begin to turn warm
turn into steam into quicksilver
carving out mushrooms wild vegetables and spaghetti

and we are all the cooled sweat of passion
