Tinofireyi Dennis Zhou (a.k.a. Aero5ol) is a Zimbabwean Artivist who uses the urban creative expressions of spoken word/poetry performance to investigate the modern world’s everyday realities from a uniquely African perspective. Exploring topics and ideas based around the post-colonial and neo-colonial heritage and landscape, politics and afrocentricity, Aero5ol endeavours to create a new visual and sonic language by which urban African peoples can redefine and describe themselves. He has performed in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana.
Aero5ol is also a leading Street Artist and has co-organised events and exhibitions with the objective of bringing visual art to underprivileged and neglected communities around Zimbabwe.
