Submissions

Unfortunately, we do not currently accept unsolicited submissions to the website. We do have new updates every week. How is that possible, you ask? Material is published on Poetry International in one of two ways:

The first is through a trusted local editor or editorial team – either one that is independently funded in the home country, or one that's been commissioned to do a one-off publication for a specific reason or event. This material is collected and submitted by the editors up to several times a year. It is ideally uploaded to the website a month in advance of publication, and then gets reviewed, edited, and published by the web team at our Rotterdam office. We work this way because we want to ensure that our material is both as wide-reaching and as ‘local' as possible, and not just the same material you’ll find over and over on other websites and archives. You can find a list of our current publishing partners here.

The second way a poet appears on our website is if they are an invited guest to the annual Poetry International Festival in Rotterdam.

If you have any additional questions about submissions or the publication process, please contact us at info[@]poetry.nl. To find out how you or your organisation can become one of our editorial partners, visit this page.
